February 12, 2009 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CONCERNING COYOTES SHOW CLUB
[a sexually oriented business]

From: The Kings Men, Inc. –
PO Box 713 – Quakertown, PA 18951

The King’s Men Declare Victory forMilford Township!

The King’s Men, a non-profit men’s organization fighting pornography in the Commonwealth of PA, is reporting that after one year of engaging in the legal fight against Coyotes Show Club in Milford Township that the sexually oriented business has permanently closed their doors. In March 2008, The King’s Men told the Milford Township Board of Supervisors in a legal filing that a permit must be denied to the Barnett Food Group, LLC trading as Coyotes Show Club. The King’s Men alleged in its memorandum of law that Coyotes violates Pennsylvania’s so-called BYOB law, Title 18 Pa. C.S.A. Section 7329. The law prohibits “any lewd, immoral, or improper entertainment” at a Pennsylvania bottle club.

Under the advisement of The King’s Men and their expert attorney Patrick Trueman, The Board of Supervisors placed 34 conditions on Coyotes in an effort to limit the secondary effects of a sexually oriented business in the community. Shareholder and attorney Glenn McGogney appealed the licensing conditions and for the last 9 months Coyotes refused to come into compliance with the BYOB law.

Since May 2008, Mark Houck and Damian Wargo, co-founders of The King’s Men, have been organizing monthly protests against Coyotes. “We told the Township Board that no one has a right to run an unregulated sex club in our community” said Houck. “As men striving to protect women and children, we saw it as our duty to do whatever is legally possible to prevent this establishment from taking root in our community” added Wargo.

In this year long battle, The King’s Men were joined by the Quakertown Ministerium, an association of more than two dozen churches, and David and Connie Gahman, who own property near Coyotes. Thanks to the faithfulness of a few local citizens and the prayers of hundreds more, The King’s Men were successful in protecting women and children and upholding the common good in Milford Township. The King’s Men could not have done this work without the help of Paul Clymer, State Representative for the District in which Coyotes is located, the legal expertise of Randall Wenger, Esq. of the Independence Law Center and the network of the PA Family Institute.

All communities in Pennsylvania should take note of what has happened in Milford Township. Township supervisors need to ensure that they have a sexually oriented business ordinance with the proper language that will help to prevent the pornography industry from invading their communities in the same deceitful fashion as Coyotes. Damian Wargo, Mark Houck are available for press comments and any consultation for like minded organizations attempting to rid their community from the multi-billion dollar pornography industry (call 267-980-5507 or 215-906-8878).
